Abstract

Data from the American Council Examination, given to 968 graduate and undergraduate summer session students, showed, in comparison with scores of regular session students, (1) wider distribution of scores, particularly among graduate students, (2) a larger proportion of superior students, (3) at least an equal proportion of markedly inferior students, (4) that teachers and school administrators are of superior ability, and (5) that high school teachers (in this summer session group) are distinctly superior in intelligence to elementary school teachers.
