Abstract

Discusses the use of Picture Completion Test for group testing. The language factor in the test was eliminated to allow its use with foreign or deaf Ss. The Ss belonged to two hearing and one deaf school. The results showed that the test did not measure the existing differences in ability. Scores of 60 adults were similar to those of the 15 and 16 yr-olds. It appeared that the test was discriminative for deaf children up to age 15 or 16. The total percentage of Ss passing the short test decreased gradually from first to the last, indicating that the pictures differed in difficulty. Concluded that the Drawing Completion Test was useful for group testing. Language Completion Tests were found to correlate highly with tests of general intelligence. The discriminative value of the test seemed to extend up to age 11 or 12. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2023 APA, all rights reserved)
