Reliability and halo effect of high school and college students' judgments of their teachers
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1933 · Volume 18 · Issue 5
Abstract
Reliable judgments and little halo effect among ratings of high school and college students are found for the three most important traits in the Purdue rating scale for instructors—interest in subject, presentation of subject matter, and stimulating intellectual curiosity. The high school ratings were made on a group of 57 student teachers. Previous studies on this rating scale are briefly reviewed. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
