Abstract

Investigates the variability of the sexes in mental capacities by comparing school achievement of 62,219 boys and girls (13 yrs of age) from 20 cities. The results showed a slightly greater variability for the boys and girls made better school progress. However, the coefficient of variability was very small and therefore, it would be safer to consider boys and girls to be alike in mental variability.
