Personality traits and the different professions
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1929 · Volume 14 · Issue 3
Abstract
A questionnaire study in which personality traits were rated in order of importance by four professors in each of five professional schools. Negative results were found, perhaps because the various professions are not true units, or because the traits may be merely the names of faculties that have little psychological reality, or because the best judges may not be those occupied in giving training in the professions but those who have had the special psychological training necessary for such an analysis.
