Summary: The effect of humanity on nervousness and on general efficiency
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1916 · Volume 1 · Issue 2
Abstract
Summarizes the monograph (published in 1916) on the study of the influence of indoor and outdoor air conditions on human beings. Describes the methods and experiments carried out under Thorndike's directions. Various degrees of humidity at a constant temperature were investigated on eight groups of four girls each (17-18yrs of age). The results as to the effect of humidity were just as negative as those of earlier studies. However, these results could be attributed to the limitations of the study.
