The effect of approbation and reproof on the mastery of nonsense syllables
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1933 · Volume 18 · Issue 5
Abstract
Approbation and reproof were found to be of practically equal value as incentives among a group of thirty college students for learning nonsense syllables. Galvanometric readings under proper experimental technique may be of value in ascertaining accompanying emotional states in praise and reproof.
