Abstract

The effects of individual differences in information-processing ability were explored in conjunction with increasing levels of information complexity. The accuracy of a given information-processing task was found to be significantly correlated with both individual ability and level of information complexity. Evidence was also found to indicate that wide variations in processing ability can be expected among consumers.
