Abstract
SUMMARY The Bayesian linear model of Lindley & Smith (1972) and Smith (1973) is used to investigate the effect of including exchangesable and response-surface priors in one-way and two-way models. Estimates of the means are obtained; in the two-way case generalized inverses of matrices prove to be useful. Numerical examples are included.
