Algebraic results in the theory of serial factorial design

Abstract

SUMMARY A general class of serial factorial designs is defined in which direct effects are orthogonal to first residual effects. Conditions are established under which first residual effects are also orthogonal to direct × first residual interaction. Results are applied to existing designs.
