Hommel's Bonferroni-type inequality for unequally spaced levels

Abstract

Hommel (1983) established a sharp upper bound to the overall significance level for a generalization of the Bonferroni inequality based upon equally spaced critical levels for the successive ordered p -values. This note generalizes the sharp upper bound to unequally spaced critical levels.
