‘Testing for homogeneity of a binomial series’ ‘Testing the goodness of fit of the binomial distribution’ The test statistic proposed for testing homogeneity of several binomial proportions and denoted S by Tarone (1979, p. 586) and V 2 by Wisniewski (1968, p. 427) is the binomial version of a test statistic proposed by Smith (1951) to test for heterogeneity among several multinomial samples.
