A note on a test for competing risks with missing failure type

Abstract

SUMMARY The modified log rank test for competing risks with missing failure type suggested by Goet-ghebeur & Ryan (1990) is derived from a partial likelihood which leaves out some information. This extra information is incorporated to give a new partial likelihood and hence a new test statistic.
