A Note from the Editor

Abstract

This issue brings us a tragic reminder of the too short academic career of Professor Yihong Xia, who passed away August 6, 2005. Professor Xia’s article with Michael Brennan appearing in this issue is but one of the many important articles that she wrote in her career. I was pleased to accept this article for the RFS, but feel enormous regret that such a career of achievement and promise has ended. The editorial board of the RFS extends our heartfelt sympathy to her family, to Michael Brennan, and to all her colleagues at the Wharton School and in the finance profession at large.
