Abstract
Aclassof one-parameter distributions is specified, for which the sample total is a sufficient statistic in samples of arbitrary size. It is proved that the resulting fiducial distribution of the parameter does not coincide with the distribution,a posteriori, given by Bayes' theorem, for any prior distribution whatever.
