Abstract

In the present paper generalized block designs for experiments with mixtures ofncomponents, where some or all thencomponents have non-zero proportions, have been obtained. These designs allow for the exploration of the simplex in any region which may be of interest. The block designs of Nigam (1970) turn out to be particular cases of the designs suggested here. The procedure outlined in this paper also permits the experimenter to have any number of blocks.
