Abstract
How can marketing management better evaluate the effects of in-store conditions on sales while not ignoring the primary catalyst—the consumer? This article reports a study designed to obtain shopper and in-store information from the same research design. Such a design permits a measurement of the interaction between in-store and shopper characteristics as they affect sales.
