Technical Note—A Two-State Markovian Correlated Combat

Abstract

This note considers a combat between two opposing forces where there is a correlation between two consecutive casualties. It derives the probability distributions of the numbers of survivors and the winning probabilities irrespective of the numbers of survivors.
