RESPONSE TO MR. GLUECK
Academy of Management Journal · 1968 · Volume 11 · Issue 3
Abstract
The article presents a response by George J. Gore to a comment on his article “The Management Internship,” published in a previous issue of “Academy of Management Journal.” Gore argues that an cooperative experience provides a full complement of both theory and practice to business students. The author notes the concern among those in the business community that the academic study of business is drifting further from the practice of business. Cooperative education, the author argues, is a common sense solution to this problem and serves a greater good of providing business students real world experience.
