A Markov Chain Model of Human Needs: An Extension of Maslow's Need Theory

Abstract

This paper proposes a Markov chain model to deal with the dynamic, multivariate, and probabilistic nature of a human need system. The proposed model offers a powerful tool to analyze the prevailing states and to predict the future state of the need system.
