Abstract
A field experiment was conducted in a specialty steel plant that was attempting to improve human relations practices. The research design included the use of an experimental and a control group and pre training, post training, and post-post training measurements. The independent variables were 1) the effect of the 28-week training program, and 2) the longitudinal effect of training. Dependent variables were knowledge, attitudes, and behavior. The statistical results indicated that the training was ineffective.
