Abstract

The article discusses the various aspects related to the publishing policies of management journals. According to the author, it is the responsibility of management journals to keep management executives and scholars up-to-date on research in the field of management. To decrease information obsolescence, many publishers have increased efficiency in the lag time between submission and publication. However, the author does not expect that this trend will last and offers some strategies that publishers can use to cut lag time and in turn, improve the efficiency in which the information is delivered. A survey is included showing the decrease in lag time in the past years.
