Abstract

The article presents a follow-up to a survey on the growing venture initiation courses being offered among U.S. business schools. The survey aimed to learn what additional schools had introduced such courses and the second survey is designed to learn more about the nature of the courses which were already offered. In 1972 several schools introduced the courses, including Case-Western University, State University of New York at Albany, Texas A&M University, University of Hawaii and University of California at Los Angeles. A follow-up with teachers from those schools finds that they expect between 7 percent and 67 percent of their schools' students will take venture initiation courses.
