Abstract

Various personal and situational characteristics of management training program participants were related to their reactions to the program. Characteristics found to be significantly related to such reactions included participant perceptions that: higher management supported the training, the training program content was relevant to their current problems, they had sufficient authority and freedom to initiate changes suggested by the training program, organizational rewards were contingent on performance, and their satisfaction with the organization.
