Technological Change and Manpower Developments in Advanced Production Systems

Abstract

Substantial organizational modifications are taking place in a number of areas of process related industries where, as in steel production, many features of the newer technologies are incorporated. This paper reports on some of the managerial manpower implications arising out of a series of innovations and improvements in a steel production unit.
