Abstract
The article discusses a study on perceived organizational structure and alienation among management trainees. The results indicated that the sentiments of management trainees with regard to their careers and professional development were associated with their perception of the structural characteristics of the organization. The research also revealed that informal, interpersonal relationships which transcended the organization structure may have been a more significant correlate of the alienation of trainees from expressive relations.
