Abstract

This study examined the relationship between the presence and content of feedback about differentially valued outcomes and the decision to persist at a novel task performance strategy. Among other findings, the results suggest that the content of feedback, positive or negative, interacts with the value of the target outcome of the feedback to affect persistence.
