Abstract
The article presents the findings of a study which examined the trajectory of careers of women managers in the U.S. A shortened version of the Mahoney, Jerdee, Carroll Management Activities Survey was utilized to gather information on management activities of the participants. A Disillusionment Index (DI) was developed for all management functions women were previously involved in. It is interesting to note that women managers are not experiencing higher levels of disillusionment than their male counterparts, as reflected by the overall DI.
