Abstract

The article presents a study which assessed the influence of an employee's rural-urban background on attitudinal and behavioral response. The research was set in a single industrial plant. All data were collected at the plant site during working hours. Biographical and attitudinal data were collected from plant workers using a questionnaire. Results found significant differences in the two populations on the bases of frequency of absences and rated performance. But most of difference are explainable by length of company service.
