Abstract
The article discusses a research on organizational cosmopolitanism and innovativeness. Individual cosmopolitanism scores were correlated against the number of innovations adopted by the organization. The cosmopolitanism-innovativeness relationship was also examined on a multiperson organizational basis. The highest innovativeness was seen in hospitals characterized by a cosmopolitan professional and a local administrator, whereas the lowest innovativeness was seen in hospitals with a local professional and a local administrator. The authors believe the use of typology of organizational cosmopolitanism seems to have value in research on organizational innovativeness.
