Abstract
The effects of a flexitime program in a county welfare agency are assessed. The analysis of covariance on the employees’ attendance and performance revealed that (1) the flexitime program appears to permit employees to reduce their use of unpaid absences and (2) performance efficiency tends to be higher among employees under the flexitime program.
