Abstract

A model of human resource forecasting (HRF) technique use is developed by integrating a perceived uncertainty component () with model of human judgment. Predictions are generated from the model and existing literature is examined in support of the predictions. The authors conclude that their Perceived Uncertainty Model of Technique Use better explains use of HRF techniques than does a “straight-line” evolutionary approach.
