Abstract

The author discusses his experience with special topic forum (STF) format of theory development, with special concern with how what he has learned can help the readers of the journal. The author describes the STF as a way to encourage theory development by producing special editions of journals that are specific to a certain cutting edge topic, and suggests that any reader who is thinking of proposing a topic for STF should discuss the decision with the editors of the journal first. The author asks for the readers comments on his use of the STF format in the current issue of the journal.
