Abstract

The article discusses several changes made to the journal “Academy of Management Review” in 2005. The periodical has been available as a Web-based journal since July 1, 2005, with all submissions, reviews and decision letters being handled online. The number of associate editors employed has been increased and the switch to new technology has been taken advantage of to better utilize their expertise in dealing with important tasks. The associate editors working under the new system are responsible for deciding whether papers are sufficiently developed to warrant formal review. The journal's book review section is noted for furthering the Academy's goal of enhancing theory development within the field.
