Abstract
Bruce V. Moore was elected as the first president of Division 14 of the American Psychological Association (APA), after the creation of APA's divisional structure in the post-World War II merger of APA and the American Association of Applied Psychology. Moore's professional career is described, emphasizing his contributions to the development of industrial and organizational (I/O) psychology and to graduate education in professional psychology. Several lessons that can be gleaned from Moore's career that would benefit contemporary I/O psychologists are noted. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
