Abstract

The article presents comments on the article “A Cross-Cultural Perspective of Supervisory Values,” by Richard B. Peterson in the March 1972 issue. The original article discussed what Peterson called a “cross-cultural” study on the managerial philosophies of chief executive officers in different cultural groups using an eight point semantic differential questionnaire mailed to CEOs around the world. The author asserts that because of the research method employed, the study was actually a cross-regional study rather than a cross-cultural study.
